Linda Dutton

Linda Dutton Seaward (Ballet) trained in the Legat System of Russian Style Ballet and has taught on the Seacoast for over 25 years. Her early training was at Paulette's Ballet Studio in Needham, MA and Champlain Academy of Ballet in Burlington, VT. Linda later attended the Boston School of Ballet, Ana Roje School of Ballet, Ballet New England, Ballet Theatre Workshop, and Great Bay Academy of Dance. Linda performed for the Congressional Women's Club in Washington, DC; with Burlington Dance Theater in VT; then as a member of the NH Ballet Company. Other performances included jazz pieces for the Ballet New England in Prescott Park, and for the Scott Jillson Fashion Show with members of the Pontine Movement Theater. During the last three years, Linda performed contemporary pieces with the Joan Weigers Dancers. She also works as the House Manager for many of Pontine Theatre's productions. Linda Seaward (formerly Linda Prince) was Director of the Children's Education Program for Market Square Studio (first home of Pontine Theatre); and a regular teacher for Market Square Studio, Portsmouth School of Ballet, Brixham Danceworks, Ballet New England and at Elysium in Rollinsford, NH. She has also been a long-term substitute for three Boston area dance schools and for Berwick Academy in Maine. More recently. Linda is a regular substitute for Great Bay Academy of Dance in Kittery, ME. While teaching aspiring young dancers ballet technique is her first love, Linda also holds her Masters in Library Science and has worked in two libraries' Children's Rooms. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and gardening.
