Meghan Houlahan
Meghan McCusker Houlahan (Owner/Director) brings over 35 years of teaching experience to Belletete Ballet. Meghan began her dance training at Paulette’s Ballet Studio in Needham, MA in 1980, after her mother had tirelessly brought her to studio after studio before she found the one studio where she felt at home. Meghan studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Theater Dance and Pointe. Under the training and tutelage of Paulette Harwood, Meghan became a teaching assistant in both Ballet and Pointe in 1987, completed the Dance Teachers Club of Boston Teacher Training in 1990 and joined the faculty in 1996. Meghan also spent several summers as the Head Dance Counselor at Nobles Day Camp in Dedham, MA. She worked as a counselor for Tanglewood’s Days in the Arts (DARTS) program. DARTS is a unique camp geared toward middle school aged children of diverse backgrounds who excel in the arts, a camp she also attended when she was younger. Meghan earned her degree in English Literature with a minor in Dance focusing on Ballet, Pointe and Theater Dance from the University of New Hampshire. In 2002, Meghan moved from Boston to New Hampshire with her husband and her young family and has been teaching young dancers throughout the Seacoast ever since. She is thrilled to spend each day sharing her love of dance and movement with the students of Belletete Ballet, where her dream is that other young dancers will finally find a studio to call home.
